Lucas & Amanda, Maine Wedding Photography

There are many people anxiously awaiting this post, so I have spent countless hours and sleepless nights, neglecting housework and my husband in order to get this post up! No, not really :-)

Lucas and Amanda were referred to me by my sister-in-law who works with the bride. I was excited when she told me that Amanda is a big fan of the blog and loved my work. Wait?! What?!? A fan!! I was hooked. As I got to know Amanda through back and forth e-mails, I knew this would be a super fun group of people and for some reason I envisioned Luke and Amanda with a classic gangster style car. So I thought what the heck and shot her an e-mail with my (crazy) idea. You could imagine my surprise, complete with a gasp, a hoot, and a fist pump when Amanda told me she loved the idea, checked on it and was actually able to get the EXACT style car I was envisioning for her wedding day!!

So fast forward to a couple weeks ago, the wedding day. It was a typical fall day in Maine, cold and wet. But that didn’t deter my bride and groom and their awesome wedding party from grouping outside, in some tall/uneven grass, and helping me get some a.m.a.z.i.n.g. pictures.

Luke and Amanda, thank you so much for letting me photograph your day. I hope you love these images as much as I do.

Amanda, you oozed gorgeous all day.

Heck with the muffin pass me the Stud CAKE!!

Werk IT!

Love, Love, Love this picture of the guys!

Look out boys, the ladies brought their "A" game too!

There were some pretty cute kids at the wedding too!

These next two are just too cool not to post!

Happy Sunday!

  2. I am sure both the bride & groom were thrilled with their wedding day photos.
Amy, it is time that you start taking a few photos at every wedding from here on out that will build, not on your wedding photography portfolio, but rather your wedding card stock. The last two in this series really have a vibe that needs more exploring. Can you get access to that car again? You know the type of photo that will work great for wedding cards - oozing a feeling, a specific moment in time, captured, but not a representation of a specific person. I am sure you can figure out what to photograph without my input. It is time, though, and you are ready. Carolina
