Luke & Amanda, Sneak Peek

I photographed the wedding of Amanda & Luke yesterday. I am going through the pictures now and want to know what good deed I did to be able to photograph such a wonderful couple and THIS car. You just wait... this is only the tip of the iceberg!

Saturday Morning at Our House

This morning started out like every other morning, only a little earlier than usual, 5:30am to be exact. My little Sweet Pea was excited to start the weekend I guess, so the whole house was up and a buzz by 5:42am. As we were sitting on the couch watching the morning weather, I looked over to my little buddy and all I could do was smile. Yes, it was early, yes, I would have loved to sleep in another 23 minutes, but being up before the world is part of being a Mom. Plus, she looked so darn cute, I had to go get my camera.

Then I realized just about everything she does is so darn cute; so I decided to document Sweet Pea's morning, well the first five hours of it anyway. Here is how the rest of the early a.m. went.

Watched some cartoon's while Mom is on a work conference call.

Gave my doggie some lovies.

Emptied my basket of blankies.

Oops, where did she go?

Played with my Daddy.

Read myself a book.

And finally, five hours later, I take a little nap.

Happy Weekend Everyone!

Maine Family Photography, The Loftus Family

This past weekend I had the distinct pleasure of photographing the Loftus family.

A few weeks ago I received a message from Lori on facebook inquiring about my location, rates, etc. A few messages and phone calls later we were booked! We met up at a local trail not far from where the family lives and it didn’t take long for the fun to start.

(Before I go further I have to say, Karen if you are reading this STOP, these are your Christmas presents, so "X" out of this screen immediately!)

Look how happy they are… I wish I could take credit and say they were laughing at one of my super funny jokes, but I can't, they were like this the entire shoot.

Yes, I made them kiss! I got the hairy eyeball when I told them to, but I am so glad they went for it, because I was able to get this shot.

Fun with Auntie!

Such an adorable family.

Ahh Huh, I made them kiss too!

Could these children be any more beautiful? I.think.not.

Lori, thank you so much for looking me up and booking a session.
I had a wonderful time and you truly have a remarkable family.

P.S. Wal*Mart Chicken :-D

Loftus Family - Sneak Peek

I am busy going through pictures of the Loftus family and I am cracking up at my desk (confirming what my husband has thought for years... I am crazyyyy), but I had so much fun with this family and these two little buggas kept us laughing the entire shoot. So here is a sneak peek of what is to come!

The Tomlinson's

While in St. Thomas last week attending my cousin's wedding (see the post below) I seized the opportunity to photograph one of the most beautiful couples on the planet. Yes, I know that is a bold statement, but if at the end of this post you don't believe me, I will issue you a full refund ('but Amy, this blog is free' 'yeah I know' :-D).

Mrs. Tomlinson is my cousin and one of my most favorite ladies in the world. Growing up, for all intents and purposes, she was my sister. We lived four houses and two camps down the road from each other, I dare say we spent every weekend for the first 12 years of our lives at one another's houses, she would make me sandwiches that always tasted better than mine, we would lip sync until we were told we were too loud (yeah sometimes we didn't 'lip sync' all that well), we built cabins in the woods, discovered make up, hair accessories and boys, we did everything together.

Then we grew up and life happened, we no longer talked everyday, knew what each other ate for supper the night before and didn't even think to ask what each others favorite songs were. Kind of sad really. But you know what? You have very few people in your life where you can go months without speaking to, almost years without seeing, and the moment you embrace one another face-to-face, it's like no body ever left. You can pick up right where you left off, nothing feels out of sorts, it is... I can't think of the right word... so I am going to say comfortable. It's comfortable!

Okay, before I start slobbering and getting tears all over my keyboard... Let's get back to the gorgeousness. Mr. & Mrs. Tomlinson thank you for 1) being who you are as people and as a couple, 2) letting me pull you away from an awesome wedding reception, and 3) for kissing by the vending machines. Cheers!

Norm & Jackie, St. Thomas Wedding

I have been soooo excited to blog about this wedding since I received the invitation back in August. It is the wedding of my cousin Norm and his long-time girlfriend Jackie. Norm & Jackie have been together so long, in the last couple years it was easy to forget that they weren’t already married. Norm & Jackie sealed the deal on October 1st during a destination wedding in St. Thomas!!

Yes, St. Thomas. They married at the Wyndham Sugar Bay Resort and let me tell you, this place was phenomenal and a photographers’ d.r.e.a.m. place to shoot. I must come clean and say I was not their “official” wedding photographer, but I did manage to sneak my way around the ceremony and stole the bride and groom after the "official" photog left and was able to capture some ah-mazing photographs (if I must say so myself).

Norm & Jackie thank you so much for inviting me to share in the joy of your wedding day, but most of all, thank you for letting me capture the best day of your life. Congratulations Mr. & Mrs. Gosselin!

The groom and the best man chill before the ceremony.
More chilling

Everyone was crying about this point.

Rawr!

Jackie, you are beautiful and glowed the entire day!

As we were wrapping up, we walked past this elevator and I got an idea! I love how it turned out - which is a lot like the weather in St. Thomas - HOTT, HOTT, HOTTTTT

Congratulations once again!!

St. Thomas - Sneak Peek

Have you missed me? Okay, so I haven't been gone that long, but I have been gone. Where have I been you may ask, I have been on the white beaches of St. Thomas for the last five days. The trip was amazing! I got to spend an entire day laying on the beach, attended a fabulous wedding, ate more food than you can imagine, and got to photograph some gorgeous people and places. I have a lot of work to do, catching up on laundry, editing photos, but most of all I need to catch up on snuggle time with my little sweet pea.

But for those of you who just can not wait to see some of the pictures, here is a sneak peek of what I was up to in St. Thomas!

Mr. & Mrs. Norman A. Gosselin

More gorgeous people...
